Who am I?

Welcome to my site.

I’m an infectious disease immunologist by background and inclination although these days, I do more teaching than research. Anyone doing the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine’s distance learning MSc course is probably going to run into me, or at least into some of the teaching material I’ve written.

I’m also a science communicator and author of How Vaccines Work, a popular science book about vaccines – which you’d probably guessed from the title.

This site says more about the book and lists my upcoming speaker events. You can follow me on the usual sites or read more about me using the links below.
